3º Bilingüe.      PROJECT  for A TERM 

Task:   “POSTERMAP OF THE BRITISH ISLES”

Objective:  To learn about The British Isles and  to communicate and share tasks to get a final objective (collaborative work).  To practice fluency in a short oral presentation.

Students will work in GROUPS to prepare a  poster map of the British Isles.

They should name a leader to organise the task, a secretary to write down all the information,  the role and work  of each student in the Project, etc.

The map  will show the following:

1.- The different  countries in The British Isles (Great Britain, , The British Isles and the United Kingdom ).

2.- Information about the countries in the British Isles:  flag and national symbol , capital city, most important river…

3.- The highest mountain in the UK

4.-The longest river in the UK and the  longest river in in the British Isles.

5.- The largest city in the UK , and the largest city in Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and in the Republic of Ireland.

6.- Source Citation: a  list of sources where the information and pictures were obtained. 

                      

You can use any kind of material for your poster.

Students will take two lessons  to do their task  at high school  (8th and 15th October 2019)

Presentation: 

Each student must present the Poster in front of the class avoiding reading . The student should use the map just as a tool during the presentation.

The presentation should be a 1 minute talk for every student in the group.

Teachers fo One Day

   4 ESO bilingual students will be Teachers for One Day tomorrow, 27 February.
   We have been talking about Advertising and the way we are tempted to buy products, whether we need them or not.
   Tomorrow, they will teaching this topic to 1 ESO bilingual students.
   Each of them have already designed a presentation about issues such as music in advertising, humour, celebrities or happiness.
   I hope they all enjoy this experience.

"Vales de AMOR y de AMISTAD": la expresión de sentimientos.

"Vales de AMOR y de AMISTAD"

Con la llegada del 14 de febrero, hemos querido que nuestros alumnos expresen aquello que más les cuesta, lo que llevan más dentro... SUS SENTIMIENTOS hacia los compañeros de clase. Para ello, les mostramos alguno modelos de frases que pretenden animar, subir la autoestima, valorar a aquel que tenemos cerca. 

La actividad la realizamos con todos los grupos de la ESO. Hicimos un sorteo en el aula, de manera que a cada alumno le tocara un compañero al que escribir una frase motivadora, que destacara sus cualidades o bien que mostrara el lado más amable de la convivencia diaria. La actividad sería, en principio anónima, para que así nadie se sintiera cohibido. Tan solo el profesor sabría quién realizó cada tarjeta. 

En una segunda parte, aquellos alumnos que voluntariamente quisieron, desvelaron su nombre y de manera oral expresaron aquello que habían querido plasmar en las tarjetas, ante toda la clase.

Ha resultado una actividad muy motivadora que, no solo ha hecho que los alumnos hablen de sus sentimientos, algo que tanto les cuesta a estas edades, sino que ha creado en el aula un clima de compañerismo y "buen rollo" muy muy positivo. Por no mencionar, lo bonito que nos ha quedado nuestro hall de entrada ;)

PARTICIPACIÓN EN EL PROGRAMA "RUTAS CIENTÍFICAS, ARTÍSTICAS Y LITERARIAS"

En el pasado mes de octubre, un grupo de 25 alumnos de 1º ESO participó en el programa financiado por el Ministerio de Educación "Rutas Científicas, Artísticas y Literarias". Os dejamos el vídeo que hicieron para presentar nuestra localidad, Peñaranda de Bracamonte, a sus compañeros de viaje que procedían de Aragón.


Como podéis ver, los alumnos, tras buscar información sobre su localidad, la sintetizaron y elaboraron un guión para la realización del vídeo, trabajando así la expresión oral. Aprovechamos las redes sociales para difundir este trabajo tan bien hecho por nuestros alumnos, y de hecho, tiene un importante número de visualizaciones. Como evidencia de la participación en esta actividad, en la que, como su nombre indica, la literatura estuvo muy presente, os dejamos un vídeo que recoge las mejores fotografías del viaje. El vídeo está ambientado con música clásica que evoca sin palabras las tierras andaluzas. Se puede escuchar, por ejemplo, la obra "Puerto", con la que Albéniz quiso describir sin palabras, sólo con el lenguaje musical, la localidad de El Puerto de Santa María.
